Privacy policy.
What gets collected, why, and what never leaves.
Last updated
True Fire Design is a one-person web design studio owned and operated by JT Clark in Columbia, SC. This policy covers truefiredesign.com and the contact form on it. It's written to be read, not to be survived.
What gets collected
Information you give me
When you submit the contact form, I receive:
- Your name and email address, both required.
- Your phone number, optional.
- The service you selected and the message you wrote.
- Whether you ticked the box consenting to a confirmation text.
That's the whole list. There is no account to create, no password stored, and no payment information taken through this website.
Information collected automatically
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and referrers without cookies and without building a profile of you. It does not track you across other websites. There is no Facebook pixel, no advertising tag, and no session recording on this site.
Text messages
If you enter a phone number and tick the consent box, you'll get one text confirming your inquiry arrived. The box is never pre-ticked, and consent is not required to contact me, get a quote, or hire me — leave it alone and nothing is sent.
Mobile numbers are never shared. No mobile information collected through this site is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used only to respond to your inquiry. This applies to all text messaging originator opt-in data, which is not shared with any third party except the messaging provider needed to deliver the message itself.
Message frequency: one message per inquiry you submit. This is not a recurring campaign and there is no marketing list.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop them. Reply HELP for help. You can also simply leave the box unticked.
How your information is used
- To read your message and reply to it.
- To send the confirmation text, only if you asked for one.
- To follow up about a project you contacted me about.
Your information is not used to build a marketing list. I do not send newsletters or promotional blasts, and I do not add you to anything for contacting me.
Who else touches it
Running a website means a few vendors process data on my behalf. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes:
- Vercel — hosts the site and runs the contact form endpoint.
- Resend — delivers the notification and confirmation emails.
- Twilio — delivers the confirmation text, only when you consent to one.
Beyond these, your information is not sold, rented, or traded. The only other circumstance in which it would be disclosed is if I were legally required to do so.
How long it's kept
Inquiry emails stay in my inbox as a record of the conversation, the same as any business correspondence. If you'd like yours deleted, ask and it will be. Analytics data is aggregated and holds nothing that identifies you.
Your choices
- Ask what information I hold about you, and I'll tell you.
- Ask me to delete it, and I will, unless I'm required to keep it.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
- Don't fill in the phone field at all — the form works fine without it.
Children
This is a business-to-business studio. The site isn't directed at children under 13 and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how text messages work will be reflected here before they take effect.
